Nandamuri Balakrishna, the actor turned politician had withdrawn his two day old statement, “Time should decide to become a Chief Minister” made at Rajahmundry.

This statement created a lot of commotion among the party leaders which led to serious discussions. Even the senior leaders among TDP were surprised for the statement made by him. Several senior leaders in TDP including Yerran Naidu Politburo member confirmed their confidence on Chandrababu Naidu and stated that only Chandrababu Naidu will be the Chief Minister if party comes into power.

Now he corrected his statement and confirmed that Chandrababu Naidu, his brother-in-law would be the Chief Minister if the party comes into power. Further Balayya also said that he would stand in the elections and after proving his strength accept any position in the party as per the decision of the high command. Till then he would be working as a party worker for an all-round development of TDP.
